On the 60-acre reserve, a 1/4-mile steep trail leads to bottom of the falls, and a
3/10-mile wood road leads south to land owned by the Massachusetts Division of Fish
& Wildlife.

Glendale Brook meanders through a natural upland meadow that was once part of the
18th century Glendale Farm. Grist mill foundations can be seen at the top of the
falls, where the water cascades more than 150 feet over rock ledges to join the
middle branch of the Westfield River.
Spring is a great season to visit, as the waterfalls are at their fullest and
wildflowers bloom in abundance. Forest includes hemlock, birch, beech, maple and
thickets of mountain laurel. Wildlife includes deer, raccoon, ruffed grouse and
woodcock.
