Hiking, Bird Watching, Snowshoeing, Picnicking Petticoat Hill Reservation is a 60-acre forested hillside. A ¾ mile hiking trail rises over 400 feet and connects with the Williamsburg trail system. Spring wildflowers include trout lily, red trillium, white baneberry and wild ginger. There are sugar maple, red oak, and shagbark hickory trees. Wildlife includes deer, wild turkey, black bear and coyote.

In the early 1800s, the Petticoat Hill area was once the most populous section of town. Today, the remains of old cellar holes and stone walls are hidden in the forest.

Open Year-round, daily, sunrise to sunset.
Admission is free, donations are welcome.
